I get breakfast from here on the weekends the consistency is always the same! Delicious and hot!

If you like the" greasy spoon" dining cuisine (which I do). You'll like Maywood Express. The food is consistent. Good or bad, take your pick. Fries are hit or miss. Hit if they are freshly cooked or miss when they are cooked then recooked to make them hot for you. Breakfast time is pretty busy so it's best to call in your order.

I have been passing by this establishment on the train for a long time and always wanted to stop at "that yellow restaurant". It just struck me as my kind of place, a city hot dog stand vibe. The menu is extensive for a relatively small neighborhood business serving breakfast as well as hot dogs and other hot sandwiches. My dog was prepared as asked, ez mustard relish onion, extra crispy fries, the thin ones. Everyone there seemed to know each other as they came and went, as did the friendly owner/order taker. Fast friendly service. Parking is tight but I had no problem finding a spot. Check the website for hours as they are not open late. Check it out

Cool neighborhood spot that gets the job done! Mississippi sausage and ham off the bone really good going to try Chopped steak next! Only 3 stars because they don't season eggs grits or hashbrowns but after adding a little salt and pepper it's a good breakfast. Get the greek/ texas toast.
